Painted Glass Impressions
Anne has taken her abstract painting to another dimension. The artist creates abstract works of art on the inside of glass containers by using water and acrylic paints. Each color of the design is painstakingly produced by rotating a paint and water mixture on the inside of the glass. Once the desired design is achieved, the water is removed and the paint dried. Then, additional layers of paint are applied and dried according to the planned palette. If the design calls for blended colors, Anne applies a wet mixture to achieve a transition of color on the glass. Once the final design is completed and dried, a layer of gold or silver is applied on top of the abstract image. Finally, two coats of clear varnish are applied . Each vase is a unique creation.
