IMPRESSIONS BY ANNE
Watercolors, Acrylics & Inks

Anne paints in Watercolor, Acrylics and Inks to capture the many textures and depths of her subject.  She lets color set the mood with glazes and rice papers creating textures.  Her paintings have been exhibited in California, Washington and Mykonos, Greece.

Painting on glass is another way Anne expresses her art.  She applies acrylic paints inside various glass containers to create beautiful, abstract designs.

In 1989 Anne retired from her business career to study art.  When she was young, Anne was influenced by her aunts who were accomplished artists and gave her a love of watercolor.  It was the light and transparency of watercolor that was so intriguing to Anne.  She began her fine art education and continued studying with many nationally-known artists, Jane Hofstetter, Jan Kunz, Karen Frey, Pat Dews, etc.   Anne went back in the business world in 2001 and now once again has the time to devote to her art.

In 1998 she wanted to share her enthusiasm for painting and began teaching classes while living in the San Francisco Bay Area.   Anne grew up in Everett, WA and now lives close by in Snohomish.  Contact Anne for upcoming classes.

Anne's other passion is gardening.  She loves to create a garden much like her paintings, with lots of color and texture.

Anne is a member of the Eastside Association of Fine Arts and the Northwest Watercolor Society.  Formerly she was a member of the California Watercolor Association, Alamo-Danville Artists Society and the Livermore Art Association.   While in the Bay Area, Anne organized an outdoor art festival called "Art in the Park."
